. . . and more . . . My Dear Dear Friends, I have to be one of the luckiest people in the whole world. I definitely have to be one of luckiest people in Ottawa. I met this young lady by the name of Tracy K at a little bar in Winnipeg called the Windsor Hotel. One of the best places in the world for live blues. I took a chance to say thanks, thanks for the music, the emotion. Thank God for talent like that, cause heaven knows that I don't have any.Welcome to My Fantasy is her first CD. I have to give you a B I G heads up. The third song is sooooo sexy. It's called "Slow Dance". Wow! The first time I heard this song it brough tears to my eyes. It's one of my most favourite songs in the whole world. That is why I am one of the most lucky people in Ottawa, Ontario and even Canada right now. You have to get it! If you don't, then don't be surprised if you get it from me for Christmas or your birthday. Call the radio stations! This has to get air play! It just has to! Tracy K - Welcome to My Fantasy Tracy K is from Winnipeg. We have to support our Canadian Talent. Yes, that's Talent with a capital T. Canadian Blues at it's finest. This is like a tribute to Janis. This is great riffs and beautiful harmonica! It's passion and joy! Oh, try it, you'll like it! I swear! Alex >Thank you for introducing me to Tracy K. Shane Hi Just an inquiry into when Tracy will be playing at the Windsor Hotel ? Anytime soon? Love your music...and style... Thanks, Ginnette Thank you on behalf of the Music and Folklore Association of Eastman for playing at our annual Christmas Benefit Concert for the Beausejour Food Bank. Your set of blues-inflected Christmas carols was absolutely wonderful and a joy to listen to. I wish I had a tape of it. It was easy to tell that it came right from your soul. M.Furnish, Pres. Tracy- Having a listen to the CD you tossed my way last time you were in. Awesome. Fantastic. Great work. I am hoping next time, we can work a deal at our new recording studio! I look forward to seeing you next time you're in. Cheers! Kevin Dunn Executive Producer MidCanada Production Services Inc. Hello! I have been thinking about dropping you a line ever since I saw your e-mail address in the jacket of your CD. Yes, we picked it up this summer and it is fantastic. And more ... I have heard you at least twice on CKUA, both times with Cam Hayden on the Friday Night Blues party. Would love to hear you live. Congratulations Mojo Mama! What a great handle. Love Neil A. PS. The CKUA fall fund raiser is coming up and Les and I are long time donors. I will definately request Tracy K! Hey Tracy: Thanks so much for sending your promotional package. I love your music...... not many people have the real blues thing down, but you are the real deal and I love it! Maybe someday you can work with Seattle Women.....love to have you. Kate H WHAT A BAND! Wow! That Tony D is an absolute treat with his riffs and runs and overtones. The drummer is SO quality. He drives everything everything so solidly, yet subtly. Kesa was enjoying himself (such happy, bouncy bass lines). It was a treat to catch this show. And you, girl. I just don't know. You looked so happy in your medium that maybe you should actually be PAYING for the opportunity to be enjoying yourself so much. Your mouth harp playing has reached a new level. You have fabulous phrasing, intonation and control (not to mention taste). You WILL be able to call yourself "Canada's top female blues harp player" and back it up. Mike. Hello Tracy: Enjoyed your show on Saturday night, thanks for the good entertainment! Wow, what a g-r-e-a-t show Tracy K and Her Right Hand Band put on last night in Altona. Tracy's great vocals were backed by an outstanding band: guitarist (Tony Desmarteau) , bass (Nenad "Keza" Zdjelar) , drums (Greg Black). If you closed your eyes last night, and let your mind drift back to 1969, (if you can remember the 60's) you'd have sworn Big Brother and the Holding Company were on stage a few times. For those of you who missed the show, they did an excellent variety of blues - from the old traditional Fats Waller material to Bonnie Raitt, to Janis Joplin, to Koko Taylor - and everything in between. She and her band were in great form last night. We hope you had a good time! Thanks for helping to keep the blues alive, one "Night Out" at a time. Carey Kehler, "Night Out with the Blues" > Hi tracy, I would love to come and watch ya play again. > when are you playing in the city. mail me back > > Melissa Tracy: I have been hearing great things about you and your band and look forward to see your act. Ralph.
